Payment Structure

Our internship program is a paid opportunity, ensuring fair compensation for the valuable contributions of our interns. The pay is based on the minimum wage in Ontario, which is currently $17.20 per hour. The payment structure is as follows:

• Payment Distribution: The total hourly wage of $17.20 is shared between Silicon Toronto and the hosting company.
  • Silicon Toronto: Covers 60% of the intern’s hourly wage.
  • Hosting Company: Responsible for the remaining 40% of the intern’s hourly wage.

Payment Process

• Payment Release: The hosting company is responsible for the initial payment to the intern. Silicon Toronto will reimburse the hosting company for our 60% share on agreed-upon dates.
• Reimbursement Schedule: Silicon Toronto will provide its share of the payment directly to the hosting company at specified intervals, ensuring a seamless and transparent financial process.

Support and Mentorship
